Dan Kimble has said that "Many people like Jesus, they just don't like church." What I think they mean is that people don't like church as they have experienced it. Some might say we are a church for people who don't like church, although if you like church but want something different, give us a try.
Jesus didn't have a church building - we don't either. We meet where people are. This is in a way symbolic of our aim, to meet where people are. Jesus went to where the people were, He didn't expect them to come to Him.
We meet in the lounge at Akron Lanes (2911 E. Waterloo Rd, Akron, Ohio 44312) around tables in a casual atmosphere among friendly, people who are casually dressed. The music is upbeat and fun, messages are interactive (you can ask questions during the sermon if you want), biblical and practical. We have kid's church for 6th grade and younger during the sermon (teens can help out if they want) and Action teens meet on Wednesday at 5:30 in the meeting room at the lanes. We have a sharing time at the end of our Sunday service with an "open mike" for praises, input, questions and prayer requests. This is to allows the body of Christ to to hear input from many, not just a few.
Since we don't have a mortage or electric bills our offerings can go to helping people with needs.
We laugh, love and learn together.
Come invest an hour this Sunday - coffee, donuts, cookies, milk, juice and great fellowship before and after our 10am service.
